Performing Arts

Every year, auditions are conducted for our school musical, offering students the opportunity to showcase their talents. The production involves students not only as performers but also as integral members of the stage and production crew. Throughout rehearsals, students collaborate with directors, honing their skills in vocal/music, drama, and choreography, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the various facets of musical production. After-school rehearsals take place one to two times a week, culminating in performances open to the general public.

Our repertoire of past productions encompasses well-loved classics such as “The Lion King, Jr.,” “Aladdin, Jr.,” “Seussical Jr.,” and “Alice in Wonderland Jr.,” showcasing the diverse and engaging experiences our students have had in bringing these timeless stories to life on stage.

School Mass and Choir – 3rd through 8th Grade

Starting in sixth grade, students have the opportunity to audition for the role of a school mass cantor. During the audition, students showcase their rhythmic and melodic sight-reading skills and prepare a song from the mass.

Cantors undergo training that emphasizes the dual nature of singing for mass, encompassing both vocal leadership and spiritual leadership. This dual role underscores the importance of not only delivering the musical aspects with proficiency but also conveying a spiritual connection, enhancing the overall worship experience for the school community. Students in Grades 3-8 are invited to participate in the school/parish choir.
